Policies

Payment Options: Payment is due upon departure by Visa, MasterCard, Debit or cash.

Curfew: Out of respect for our other guests & our staff members who reside at the Lodge, our common areas are closed after 10:00 p.m.

Taxes: All services & accommodations are subject to 13% tax.

Gratuities are appreciated but are not included in our rates and are left up to the discretion of our guests.

Deposits are not charged against your credit card unless it is by prior arrangement. If you do not have a credit card, a cash or check deposit will be required. Your room cannot be confirmed without a credit card number or cash/check deposit. Your check will be cashed two weeks in advance of your expected stay.

American and Foreign Guests are reimbursed a portion of their taxes when crossing the border (note: Houlton/Woodstock border offers immediate reimbursement, you can also mail in your receipts).

Reservations are taken four months in advance, with the exception of stays 3 days or more & private dinner receptions, which may be booked a year in advance.

Smoking: To maintain quality we ask that you do not smoke in your rooms or your hot tubs. We reserve the right to charge your credit card post checkout if your room or hot tub has been damaged by smoking. Repairs can be very costly for all of us, but they can be very easily avoided.

Cancellations: Our one-night packages have a three-day cancellation policy. Our two night packages have a five-day cancellation policy. Our three-day custom packages have a seven-day cancellation policy. Private dinner receptions, New Year's Eve & Valentine's have a thirty-day cancellation policy. If you do not cancel within the required time, we reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee of $100.00 plus the cost of any items that have been ordered for you. To avoid a cancellation fee, please contact us immediately after you have learned of your change of plans. We will not accept reservations from past guests who have failed to cancel within the appropriate time & who have given us faulty credit card numbers.

Gift Certificates: Gift certificates must be used within one year of purchase. Gift certificates may be upgraded if you wish. Gift certificates cannot be redeemed for cash value. Under extreme circumstances, we will extend the expiry date of your gift certificate however you must contact us prior to the expiry date to make arrangements.
